Many types of Coral are endangered and thus protected from harvesting and import. All Coral in this set is Bamboo Coral that has been dyed to emulate rarer types of Coral. In the above necklace, hand-cut Coral briolettes are painstakingly matched in a symmetrical, graduated pattern and hung from Sterling Silver wire, edged on either side by a small dangling Coral round bead. Body of necklace consists of medium and small dyed Coral round beads set off by silver-plated spacers in front and silver-plated small round beads and thin saucer rondelles throughout the remainder of the necklace. Color of briolettes is a bright cherry red, ranging from medium to light. Color of Coral round beads is medium cherry to true red. Necklace is finished in back with tiny rice-shaped dyed Coral cherry red beads, Sterling silver extender chain and lobster claw clasp. Earrings consist of Sterling Silver earwires, Coral briolettes hanging by Sterling Silver wire from dyed Bamboo coral round beads and Sterling Silver spacers.
